پربهات प्रभात prabhāt S s. m. Dawn, morning.

پاٿهک पाठक pāṭhak S s. m. 1. He that gives lessons, a teacher, a professor. 2. A title of Brāhmaṇs.

پريت प्रेत pret S s. m. A departed soul, a spirit of the dead, ghost, evil spirit, fiend.

پايل pā-yal S̱. or pāʼịl, 1. adj. Surefooted, easy- paced (an elephant). 2. s. f. An ornament for the foot or ankle. 3. pā-yal, s. A bamboo lad- der.

پنچکي panchakkī S̱. (from पानीय Water, and चक्र A wheel, a mill) s. f. A watermill. S. H. پنچلڙا panch-laṛ-ā, adj. Of five rows or strings (a necklace, &c.). S. H. پنچلڙي panch-laṛ-ī, s. f. A necklace of five rows or strings.

پرانا parānā पलायन S̱. v. n. To run, to flee.

پهبيلا phabīlā H (from پهبنا) adj. Becoming, fit.

پهرچهانا pharchhānā H v. a. To clean, to wipe, to settle, to clear away (the clouds, &c.).

پسلي paslī पार्श्व S̱. s. f. A rib, the præcordia. پسلي پهڙکني paslī phaṛaknī, A thrilling over the ribs, is applied to a perception of the condition of an absent person.
