پنچهالا panchhālā S̱. (षुच्छ A tail) s. m. The tail of a paper kite.

پيچ pech P (from پيچيدن) s. m. f. 1. Twist, revo- lution, a coil, a plait, fold. 2. A screw. 3. Perplexity, ambiguity, maze, difficulty, trouble. 4. Deceit. 5. Complication, involution. پيچ اٿهانا pech uṭhānā, To suffer loss or distress. پيچ اکهڙنا pech ukhaṛnā, v. n. To loosen (the twist of any thing). پيچ باندهنا pech bāndhnā, To grapple in wrestling. پيچ پاچ pech-pāch or پيچ پانچ pech-pānch, s. m. Twist, coil, &c. پيچ پڙنا pech paṛnạ̄, To become difficult or intricate, to occur as an obstacle, to be entangled. پيچ چلنا pech chalna, To prevail by stratagem. پيچ چنا pech chunnā, To bind the twists of a turband with care. پيچ دار pech-dār, adj. Twisted, coiled, spiral, crooked, intricate. پيچ درپيچ pech-dar- pech, Coil within coil, entangled, complex, intri- cate. پيچ دينا pech denā, To circumvent, to de- ceive, to twist, to screw, &c. پيچ ڐالنا pech ḍālnā, 1. To throw obstacles in the way. 2. (in playing with paper kites) To entangle the string of an adversaryʼs kite. پيچ کرنا pech karnā, 1. To deceive, to trick, to complicate. 2. To seize in wrestling, to grapple. پيچ کهانا pech khānā, 1. To coil. 2. To be perplexed, to fall into dif- ficulties, to sustain a loss. پيچ کهلنا pech khulnā, To be untwisted or unscrewed. پيچ کهولنا pech

پاسنگ pā-sang P s. m. A make weight, some- thing placed in one scale to balance the other, or something placed on one side of a load to form an equipoise to the other.

پهوسرا phūsrā H s. m. A rag.

پنا pinnā पिण्याक S̱. s. m. A cake of mus- tard seed remaining after the expression of the oil, and given to cows, &c. for food.

پرباس prabās S (प्रवास from प्र and r. वस Dwell) s. m. Travelling, journey, sojourning in a foreign country, abroad. S. پرباسي 1. प्रवासी prabās-ī, s. m. A traveller. 2. पुरवासी pura-bāsī, s. m. An inhabitant of a city.
