پروسيا parosaiyā S̱. (from پروسنا) s. m. A distributer of victuals to the guests, one who serves up din- ner, a waiter.

پـﮩنا pahannā S̱. or pahinnā (परिधान) 1. v. a. To put on, to wear, to dress. 2. s. m. Dress, clothing.

پيڙا peṛā पिंड S̱. s. m. 1. A kind of sweetmeat made with curds. 2. A globular mass of lea- ven prepared for baking.

پونٿهي ponṭhī प्रोष्ठी S̱. s. f. A kind of small fish. (Cyprinus chrysoparius. Buch.).

پوتنا potnā H v. a. To besmear, to plaster.

پنچورا panchorā H s. m. An earthen vessel with a narrow neck and a hole in the bottom. When filled with water and the mouth stopped, no water flows from the hole below till the hand or whatever stopped the mouth be removed. (It is used as an experiment to illustrate the doc- trine of the horror vacui by the followers of Aristotle).

پس pas P adv. After, behind, at length, then, therefore, finally. پس از pas az, After. پس انداز pas-andāz, Savings, something laid up to pro- vide for old age or want of employment. (La- bourers, &c. call it مايه توکل).

پهپ pahup S̱. or puhp (पुष्प) s. m. A flower.

پاتي pātī S̱. s. f. 1. (पत्री) A letter, note, epis- tle. 2. (पत्र) A leaf.
