پالا pālā प्रालेय S̱. s. m. 1. Frost, hoar-frost, snow. 2. Trust, charge. 3. A heap of earth made by children to separate the two parties in a game called kabaḍḍī. 4. Leaves of a tree named jhaṛberī (a species of Zizyphus). پالاپڙنا pālā paṛnā, v. n. To snow. پالي پڙنا pāle paṛ- nā, v. n. To fall within the power of another.

پرجاپت प्रजापति prajā-pat S or prajā-pati, s. m. Lord of subjects; a prince; a name of Brahmā.

پهندنا phandnā S̱. (see پهسنا) v. n. To be impri- soned.

پهسلاؤ phuslāʼū H (from پهسلانا) s. m. A coaxer, wheedler, seducer.

پهوٿن phūṭan S̱. (see پهوٿنا) s. f. Wrangling, dis- agreement, misunderstanding.

پڙنا paṛnā S̱. (r. पत् Move, fall) v. n. 1. To fall. 2. To lie down, repose. 3. To befall, happen, occur. 4. To encamp. 5. To drop. 6. To be confined to bed by sickness. پڙرهنا paṛ rahnā or پڙي رهنا paṛe rahnā, To remain help- less, poor or destitute.

پٿيلی paṭelī H (dimin. of پٿيلا) s. f. A small flat- bottomed boat.

پٿيت paṭait S̱. (from پٿا) s. m. A cudgeller.

پرايچه parāʼịcha P. Arab. plur. (of پارچه) Shreds, bits of cloth, &c.
