پهيلاو phailāʼo H (from پهيلنا) s. m. 1. Spread, expansion, extension, diffusion, publication, dis- play, extent. 2. Plenty, profusion.

پٿواري paṭwārī H s. m. One who keeps account of lands, a land steward.

پادگهابرا pād-ghābrā H adj. Frightened out of oneʼs wits.

پتاکا पताका patākā S s. f. A standard, a flag.

پتل pattal S (पत्रावली) s. f. A plate or tren- cher formed of leaves.

پڙوانا piṛwānā S̱. (caus. of پيڙنا) v. a. To cause to press, squeeze or pound.

پتهر patthar प्रस्तर S̱. s. m. A stone, stone. پتهربازي patthar-bāzī, s. f. Stone-throwing, playing with stones. پتهرپاني هوجانا patthar pānī ho jānā, 1. The melting of a stony heart. 2. A difficult task to be facilitated. پتهرپسيجنا patthar pasījnā, To be softened or melted (a stony heart). پتهرچهاتي پررکهنا patthar chhātī par rakhnā, To be patient by compulsion or from being without remedy. پتهرساپهينک مارنا patthar sā phenk mārnā, To reply rashly with- out understanding the meaning of oneʼs ques- tion. پتهرسي سرپهوڙنايامارنا patthar se sir phoṛnā or mārnā, To teach or instruct a fool.

پچهوڙنا pachhoṛnā S̱. (r. स्पुट Separate, divide) v. a. To winnow with a basket used for this purpose. See پهٿکنا phaṭaknā.

پرکها purkhā पुरुष S̱. s. m. An old man, an el- der, an ancestor.
