پورنواسي pūran-wāsī S̱. (पौर्णमासी) s. f. The day of the full moon.

پهنکاري phunkār-ī S̱. s. f. Hissing (of a snake). پهنکاري مارني phunkār-ī mārnī, To hiss (a snake).

پدوڙا padoṛā S̱. (from پاد or पर्द्द) adj. Having the quality of farting. (Met.) A coward.

پهل بجهول phal-bujhauwal S̱. s. m. The name of a game (called also Mankelā): "think of a num- ber, double it, add ten to it, take five from it, &c. how much remains?" "twenty one," "the number was eight."

پلٿانا palṭānā H (trans. of پلٿنا) v. a. To turn, cause to turn, return, convert, repel. H.S̱. پلٿاکهانا palṭā khānā, v. a. 1. To turn over head and heels. 2. To overturn, to be tilted. 3. To rebound.

پوئيس poʼīs S̱. (पश्य See! lo!) interj. Ho! holla! (calling to people in the road to get out of the way), have a care.

پيزار paizār P. s. f. A slipper, a shoe. پيزاراپيزاري paizārā-paizārī, s. f. Fighting or mutual beating with slippers. پيزارپٿي ياکاري paizār-paṭṭī or -kārī, Act of beating with slippers. پيزارخور paizār-ḵẖor, adj. Abject, mean, base (q. d. fit or deserving to be beaten with slippers). پيزارسي paizār se, An expression of contempt, signifying it concerns not or affects not me, I care not. پيزارکهانا paizār khānā, To be beaten with slip- pers.

پهاٿنا phāṭnā स्पटन S̱. v. n. To be torn, to be broken, split, rent, torn asunder, &c.
