پنيا punyā S̱. (पुण्याह A holiday) s. f. The com- mencement of collection for the new year. (Used by landholders).

پسا pasā प्रसृत S̱. s. m. Two handfuls, as much as can be held in both hands open. See انجلا anjlā.

پلا pallā H s. m. 1. Space, distance. 2. Assist- ance. 3. A border of cloths, 4. A sheet (ge- nerally applied to chintz or shawl). 5. A bag. 6. Labium vulvæ. 7. One shutter or fold of a door, &c. 8. Border, margin.

پرانٿها parāṅṭhā H s. m. A kind of cake, paste. See پراٿها parāṭhā.

پهندنا phandnā S̱. (see پهسنا) v. n. To be impri- soned.

پنگلا panglā पंगु S̱. adj. Bandylegged, a crip- ple.

پنگل पिंगल pingal S 1. s. m. Name of a fabu- lous being in the form of a serpent to whom a treatise on prosody is ascribed. 2. Art of mea- suring verses, prosody. 3. adj. Tawny, pale.

پاکيزه pākīza P adj. Clean, pure, neat, chaste. پاکيزه خصلت pākīza ḵẖaṣlat, Of chaste habits or disposition. پاکيزه گوهر pākīza-gauhar, adj. Of a pure nature.

پامردي pā-mard-ī P s. f. 1. Strength. 2. Reso- lution, valour.

پشکل pishkil P s. m. The orbicular dung of sheep, deer, &c.
