پيندا pendā H s. m. The bottom (of a vessel, box, pot, &c.).

پليت palīt S̱. (perhaps, for प्रेत) s. m. A ghost.

پاينتا pāʼeṅtā S̱. (पादान्त) s. f. The foot of a bed, the side towards the feet.

پگڙي pagṛī H s. f. A turband. پگڙي اٿکنا pagṛī aṭaknā, To be obstinate, to persist or persevere. پگڙي چهپٿنا pagṛī chhapaṭnā, To practise de- ceit, to act treacherously.

پٿکا paṭkā पट्टि S̱. s. m. A cloth worn round the waist, a girdle. زري پٿکا zarī paṭkā, The golden girdle (an ensign conferred by the Pesh- wā on generals who are invested with authority immediately by him). پٿکاباندهنا paṭkā bāndh- nā, To determine on, or prepare for any act. پٿکاپکڙنا paṭkā pakaṛnā, To hinder, to obstruct. H.S̱. پٿکاجانا paṭkā jānā (from پٿکنا) v. n. To fall from oneʼs rank or estimation.

پيوڙي peʼoṛī H s. f. A kind of yellow colour (said to be obtained from the urine of a cow, fed on the flowers of Butea frondosa, or, ac- cording to others, on the leaves of the mango tree). S. پيوس पीयूष or पेयूष pīyūs or peyūs, s. m. The milk of a cow for some days after calving, biestings.

پسينا pasīnā S̱. (प्रस्वेदः) s. m. Perspiration, sweat.

پهپها phupphā H s. m. The husband of a pater- nal aunt.

پنـﮩان pinhān P adj. Secret, hidden, concealed.

پکوانا pakwānā S̱. (caus. of پکنا) v. a. To cause to be dressed or cooked, to cause to ripen.
