پوپني popnī H s. f. 1. A wind instrument (of musick) made by children, of the seeds of mango and the leaves of the Borassus. 2. Any wind instrument. H.S̱. پوپهٿنا po-phaṭnā (see پوه poh) v. n. To dawn, to be break of day.

پهليا phaliyā S̱. (from फल) s. f. A cod, a pod (or the seed) of any legumi- nous plant, but particularly of peas. 2. A loop. پهلي کش phalī-kash, s. m. A hook for drawing the strings through the holes by which the walls of a tent are laced to the top.

پنچم पंचम pancham S or panchama, 1. adj. Fifth. 2. s. m. Name of a rāg and of a sur or musical note. S̱. پنچمي पंचमी panchamī, s. f. The fifth day of the lunar fortnight.

پند pand P s. m. Advice, admonition, counsel. پندگو pand-go, Adviser, monitor.
