پرتهيناتهـ prithī-nāth पृथ्वीनाथ S̱. s. m. Lord of the earth; a sovereign, a king.

پڙهنا paṛhnā पठन S̱. v. a. To read, repeat, say, decipher, speak. پڙهني والا pāṛhne-wālā, Reader.

The being or paying beforehand, anticipation, excelling, surpassing, preeminence, excellence, aggression. پيش دستي کرنا pesh-dast-ī karnā, To anticipate, &c. پيش رس pesh-ras, adj. Early (fruit, grain, &c.). پيش رفت pesh-raft, adj. Making im- pression, successful, efficient, effectual (gene- rally applied to words that are attended to).
