پوٿها pūṭhā पट्टिका S̱. s. m. The paper or paste- board cover of a book.

پٿاک paṭāk H s. m. A sound, a crash.

پيٿارتهو peṭārthū S̱. (पेट and अर्थी Desirous, r. अर्थ Ask for) adj. Gluttonous, epicurean.

پکهروٿا pakhrauṭā H s. m. A bit of gold or silver leaf covering a bīṛā or mouthful of betel.

پرتا partā H s. m. A reel (for winding thread). ¶ purtā, adj. (dakh.) See موافق muwāfiḳ.

پٿي paṭṭī S s. f. 1. (पट्टी) A bandage, a fillet. 2. (पट्टिका) A quarter of a place. 3. The side pieces of the frame of a bedstead. پٿي پکڙکي هلتي رهنا paṭṭī pakaṛke hilte rahnā, de- notes excessive weakness and laziness. پٿي توڙنا paṭṭī toṛnā, To be bedrid. پٿي سي پٿي ملانا paṭṭī se paṭṭī milānā, expresses the most inti- mate proximity. 4. پهليا phaliyā S̱. (from फल) s. f. A cod, a pod (or the seed) of any legumi- nous plant, but particularly of peas. 2. A loop. پهلي کش phalī-kash, s. m. A hook for drawing the strings through the holes by which the walls of a tent are laced to the top.

پنچ panach प्रत्यञ्चा S̱. s. f. A bowstring.
