پرواه parwāh P. s. f. Same as پروا parwā, q. v.

پنيا paniyā पानीय S̱. s. m. 1. Water. 2. A water-snake or any thing living in water.

پوڙها pauṛhā H adj. Wide, broad.

پـﮩڙنا pahuṛnā H v. n. To lie down, to repose, to lie, to rest.

پليت palīt P. adj. For پليد palīd, q. v.

پوٿلي poṭlī H s. f. A bundle.

پر pur P adj. Full, complete, loaded, charged. (Sans. पूर्ण). پرملال pur-malāl, adj. Sad, sor- rowful, afflicting.

پرچهنا parachhnā H v. a. 1. To move a lamp or candle over the heads of a bride and bride- groom, to drive away evil spirits, propitiate good ones, &c. 2. To kindle (a fire).

پيشور peshaur P. s. m. Name of a city, properly پيشاور pesh-āwar, built by Akbar. The word im- ports "an advanced post," as it is the next town to the Afg̠ẖāns.

پيج تاب pech-tāb P s. m. Restlessness, alarm, suspense, perplexity, folds, twisting and twining, contortion, knots. پيچ تاب کهانا pech-tāb khānā, To suffer distress or anxiety, to be vexed, to twist or twine.
