پلڙا palṛā P. s. m. A scale, i. e. one side of a pair of scales. See p. پلا pallā.

پهير pher H (from پهيرنا) s. m. 1. Turning, turn, return, change, meander, maze, curvature, twisting, coil, fold, circumference. 2. Equivo- cation, ambiguity. 3. Difficulty, distance. 4. adv. Again, back. پهيرپڙنا pher paṛnā, To differ. پهيرپهار pher-phār, adj. Alternate. پهيرپهارکرنا pher-phār karnā, To alternate. پهيردينا pher denā, To return, to restore, refund. پهيرمين ڐالنا pher meṅ ḍālnā, To throw obstacles in the way of another. پهيرکهانا pher khānā, 1. To wind (as a river), to meander. 2. To go round about. 3. To meet with perplexities.

پنياٴي punyāʼī S̱. (from पुण्य) s. f. 1. A vir- tuous action, performed (according to those who hold the doctrine of the metempsychosis) in one state of existence, the reward of which is received in a future transmigration. 2. Merit of an ancestor rewarded in his descendants.
