پٿوکا paṭūkā S̱. (पट्ट Cloth) s. m. See پٿکا paṭkā. پٿوکاباندهنا paṭūkā bāndhnā, To determine on, or to prepare for any act. پٿوکاپکڙنا paṭūkā pa- kaṛnā, To hinder or obstruct.

پوس pūs पौष S̱. s. m. The name of the ninth solar month, the full moon of which is near पुष्य three stars in Cancer. December-January.

پالکي pālkī H s. f. A litter, a sedan. پالکي سوار pālkī-sawār, One who rides in a pālkī. پالکي نشين pālkī-nishīn, Entitled to be carried in a pālkī. (Formerly, this privilege was granted by a King or Viceroy).

پهاگن phāgun S̱. or phāgan (or phālgun फाल्गुन) s. m. The name of the 11th month, the full moon of which is near pūrvaphalgunī. Febru- ary-March.

پسو pissū H s. m. A flea.

پهراٿا pharrāṭā S̱. (r. स्फुर Start, throb) s. m. 1. A piece of bamboo. 2. A sound made by the flying of a flag or the breathing of a horse.

پهساکو phasākū H adj. Bad tobacco. (Inelegant).
