پرسو प्रसव प्र and r. षु Bring forth young prasav S. s. m. The act of bearing a child, par- turition.

پچمحلا pach-maḥallā S̱. A. (पंच Five, and محل Mansion) adj. Of five stories (a house).

پچهوڙنا pachhoṛnā S̱. (r. स्पुट Separate, divide) v. a. To winnow with a basket used for this purpose. See پهٿکنا phaṭaknā.

پيش pesh P 1. adj. Before, in front, promoted, advanced, respected, confided in, possessing in- fluence. 2. The vowel point (ُ). پيش ازاين pesh az īn, Before this. پيشامد pesh-āmad, s. f. Prudent, provident, wise. پيش بيني pesh-bīn-ī, s. f. Foresight, prudence. پيش جانا pesh-jānā, To go forth. پيش خيمه pesh-ḵẖaima, s. m. A tent or other baggage sent on before. پيش دست pesh-dast, adj. Anticipating, being beforehand, surpassing, one who ex- cels; (subst.) deputy, manager or assistant (in office). پيش دستي pesh-dast-ī, s. f. The being or paying beforehand, anticipation, excelling, surpassing, preeminence, excellence, aggression. پيش دستي کرنا pesh-dast-ī karnā, To anticipate, &c. پيش رس pesh-ras, adj. Early (fruit, grain, &c.). پيش رفت pesh-raft, adj. Making im- pression, successful, efficient, effectual (gene- rally applied to words that are attended to).

پهنکاري phunkār-ī S̱. s. f. Hissing (of a snake). پهنکاري مارني phunkār-ī mārnī, To hiss (a snake).

پاک سنڙسي pāk-saṅṛsī H s. f. A table vice, a bench vice. (This is a modern name; for the instrument was introduced by Europeans). P.A. پاک صاف pāk-ṣāf, adj. Pure, clean, undefiled, unpolluted.

پلاو pulāʼo P s. m. A kind of dish made of flesh and rice. (Sans. पलान्न).
