پهرکي phirkī S̱. (see پهرنا) s. f. A whirligig, any thing turning as on an axis.

پتر पुत्र putr S or putra, s. m. A son.

(These phrases are applied to horses only). پنجروزه panj-roza, The space of five days. پنج عيب شرعي panj-aﻌib-i-sharʼīﻌ. adj. Very vicious (possessed of five vices, i. e. 1. Robbery. 2. Adultery. 3. Gaming. 4. Drunk- enness. 5. Falsehood). پنج آيت panj-āyat, The five chapters of the ḳurʼān, which are read during the mourning of a Musalmān. پنج تن پاک panj tan-i-pāk, Five holy persons (i. e. 1. Muhammad. 2. Alī. 3. Fātima. 4. Hasan.

پلوار palwār H s. m. A kind of boat.

پتنگ patang H s. m. See بقم baḳam.

پهونکنا phūnknā फुत्कार S̱. v. a. To blow with the breath; to blow up (a fire, &c.), inflame, set on fire, kindle, to blow (a horn, trumpet, &c.).

پگاه pagāh P s. f. Dawn of day, morning twi- light.

پدرانه pidar-āna P adj. Father-like, paternal.

پور paur S (from पुर A town, a house, q. d. be- longing to a town or house) s. f. A gate, a door.
