بال बाल bāl S s. m. 1. Hair. 2. A boy, a child. 3. (for बाला) s. f. بوتا būtā S̱. (from भवन See هوت and هونا) s. m. Strength, power, ability.

بهوکهن भूषण bhūkh̤aṇ S s. m. Ornament, em- bellishment, decoration, an ornament, a jewel, dress.

بم bam S (वम्) An interjection addressed to Siva (much used by pilgrims to the temple of Baij- nāth or Vaidyanāth). A.P. بم bam, s. f. 1. The bass part in musick. 2. A bass or lowest string, or drum having the deepest tone. 3. Deep sound (as that of the large pipes of an organ, or of a drum).
