بسواس biswās S (विश्वास) s. m. Trust, confi- dence, faith. بسواس گهات biswās-ghāt, s. f. Taking advantage of the confidence of others, treacherous friendship. بسواسگهاتي biswās-ghāt-ī, s. m. A treacherous friend, one who seeks to take advan- tage of the confidence placed in him.

بلاهٿ bulāhat H (from بلانا) s. f. Calling, call, a summons, bidding.

بوتاتي būtāt-ī A. adj. Relating to household ex- pense.

باريک bārīk P adj. Fine, slender, minute, sub- tile. باريک بين bārīk-bīn, adj. Intelligent, quick of apprehension, penetrating, nice. باريک ميان bārīk-miyān, adj. Slender waisted.

بهس bhus बुस S̱. s. m. Bran, husk, chaff. بهس پربرات bhus par barāt, An assignment on chaff: i. e. that from which nothing can be obtained.

بٿا baṭṭā H s. m. 1. Deficiency. 2. Exchange

بيسوا beswā वेश्या S̱. s. f. A prostitute.

بور būr H adj. Barren (land). s. f. Chaff, husk. بورکالڐو būr kā laḍḍū, A sort of sweetmeat made with the husk of grain. (The confectioners avow the imposition and cry out to passengers, "youʼll repent if you eat it, or regret not tasting it." Hence, great men are sometimes called بورکالڐو when they make a practice of encou- raging their dependants to hope, but do nothing for them at last; as, dancing attendance on them and neglecting them are each likely to produce regret. The term also means, any person or thing, which is fair without and foul within, or

بٿئي baṭaʼī S̱. (from بٿنا To twist) s. f. The art of making gold thread.

برهيا birhiyā S̱. (from विरह بره) adj. Amorous, sensual, suffering the pangs of absent love.
