بير bīr H 1. s. m. A brother. 2. A jewel worn in the ear. 3. s. f. A tusk.

باره bārah द्वादशन् S̱. adj. Twelve. باره باٿ bārah bāṭ honā, To be vagabond, ruined or harassed. باه دري bārah-dar-ī (from باره and در a door; q. d. Having twelve doors) s. f. A summer house.

بل bal H s. m. 1. A coil, twist, crook, convolu- tion. 2. Side, direction. See h. بهل bhal. بلدار bal-dār, adj. Crooked, twisted, coiled, convo- luted. بل دينا bal denā, v. a. To twist. بل کهانا bal khānā, To be twisted.

بـﮩار bahār P s. f. Spring, prime, bloom, beauty, elegance, delight, enjoyment. بـﮩارستان bahār- istān, s. m. A place adorned with the bloom of spring.

بـﮩ‍ي bihī P s. f. 1. A quince; and (in India) a guava. بـﮩ‍ي دانه bihī-dāna, s. m. Quince-seed. 2. (from به Good) Goodness, the being well or better.

بهٿها bhaṭ-ṭhā भ्राष्ट़ S̱. s. m. A furnace, kiln, oven, brick-kiln.

بامهني bāmhnī S̱. s. f. 1. (for ब्राह्मणी) The

برداشت bar-dāsht P (from برداشتن) s. f. En- durance, patience. برداشت کرنا bar-dāsht karnā, To endure, to bear with patience. برداشت هونا bar-dāsht hona, To be tolerable.
