بدي bad-ī P (from بد) s. f. Badness, wickedness, evil, ill, mischief, injury, misfortune. S. بديا विद्या (r. विद Know) bidyā or vidyā, s.f. Science, knowledge, intellect.

بينچنا beṅchnā S̱. (caus. of بکنا biknā) v. a. To sell.

برا burā H adj. Bad, worse. برالگنا burā lagnā, v. n. To be unpleasant. براماننا burā mānnā, v. a. To take amiss or ill or as an affront, to be displeased or affronted. ¶ burrā, s. See جوف jauf.

برات barāt P s. f. The fourteenth day of the month Shaﻌbān, which is appropriated to the commemoration of ancestors. See شب برات shab-i-barāt (which name the day more commonly bears).

بهونريانا bhauṅriyānā S̱. (भ्रमण r. भ्रम Turn round) v. a. To whirl, to turn.

بدعتي bidʼaﻌt-ī A. adj. Tyrant, oppressor.

بيڙ beṛ H s. m. An enclosure. بيڙبندي کرنا beṛ bandī karnā, To enclose a field.

بي be P a priv. particle or prepos. (Sans. वि) Without, out of. (When prefixed to words, it is equivalent to the English in, un, im, ir, dis, less, &c). بي آب be-āb, Without water, lustre, temper, dignity, &c. (see آب āb). بي آبرو be-ābrū, adj. Dishonourable, dishonoured, dis- graced. بي آبروي be-ābrū-ī, s. f. Disgrace, dishonour. بي آبي be-āb-ī, s. f. Want of water,

بنباسي ban-bās-ī S (वनवासी) adj. Inhabiting the forest; forester, inhabitant of the woods.

بدايع badāʼịﻌ A s. plur. (of بديعه) Rare things.
