بز buz P s. m. A he-goat. بزدل buz-dil, A cow- ard. بزدلي buz-dil-ī, s. f. Cowardice. بزکوهي buz-koh-ī, s. m. The mountain goat. بزگيري buz-gīr-ī, s. f. Goat-taking.

بکهـ bikh S (विष) s. m. Poison. See بس bis.

برساؤ barsāʼū S̱. (from برسانا) part. act. Raining.

بابني bābnī H s. f. A snakeʼs hole. See بانبهني.

برام bi-rām S (वि and r. रम् Be quiet or at rest) adj. Uneasy, unquiet, agitated.

بساط bisāt̤ A (from بسط) s. f. What is spread out; carpeting, bedding, a chess-board, dice-board, expanse, surface, expansion, &c. This word is, also, adopted for h. بسات bisāt, q. v. ¶ basāt̤, An extensive plain.

بيٿا beṭā H s. m. A son, a child. بيٿاکرلينا beṭā kar lenā, To adopt a son.

بهينا bhenā H s. f. Sister.

بت bat S̱. contract. of بات A word, affair, or of بات Wind, generally used in composition; as بت باهري bat-bāharī, adj. External, foreign. بت بڙهأو bat-baṛhāʼo, s. m. Prolixity, talka- tiveness, chicanery, wrangling. بت بنا bat-banā (بت Word, and بنا from بنانا To make) An ora- tor, a sophist. بت سونهاکرنا bat soṅhā karnā (بت Wind, and سونها from سونهين Opposite) To ventilate. بت کهاؤ bat-kahāʼo, s. m. Talk, conversation.
