بن کهنڐي ban-khanḍ-ī S̱. s. m. Name of a wood or forest.

بهانج bhānj S̱. (from بهانجنا) s. m. Twist, twisting.

بازار bāzār P s. m. A market.

بيسرا besarā H s. m. A kind of falcon. (Falco nisus). P. S̱. بيسرا be-sur-ā, adj. Out of tune.

بٿوانا baṭwānā S̱. (causal of بٿنا) v. a. To cause to twist, &c.

بهان भानु bhānu S s. m. The sun.

بيابان bayābān P s. m. A desert, a wilderness. بيابان گرد bayābān-gard, or بيابان نورد bayābān- naward, adj. Traversing deserts.

بياس व्यास byās S or vyāsa, s. m. A celebrated saint and author, the supposed original compiler of the Vedas and Purāṇas; also, the founder of the Vedānta philosophy.

بايان bāyāṅ वाम S̱. adj. Left (hand, &c.). s. m. The bass part in musick, the bass sound (especially, of طبله t̤abla, ڐولک ḍholak and پکهاوج pakhāwaj, which are played on with the left hand). بايان پانوپوجنا bāyāṅ pāṅw pūj- nā, To acknowledge the cunning of an artful person.
