بوتا būtā S̱. (from भवन See هوت and هونا) s. m. Strength, power, ability.

باري bārī H s. f. 1. A window. 2. The name of a cast of Hindūs whose business it is to sell torches and leaves which are used as platters. 3. An ornament worn in the ear and nose.

بهٿي bhaṭī भ्राष्ट़ S̱. s. f. A furnace, a kiln.

بهج भुज bhuj S s. m. f. 1. The arm (above the elbow). 2. The perpendicular or shortest side of a right angled triangle. بهج بنده bhuj-bandh, s. m. An ornament worn on the arm, an armlet. بهج مول bhuj-mūl, The upper part of the arm near the shoulder. بهج بهرنا bhuj bharnā, To embrace.

بندوها bandūhā H s. m. A whirlwind.

بقر baḳar A s. m. (Heb. ) A bull. بقرعيد baḳar- īﻌd, A festival held in commemoration of Abra- hamʼs offering to sacrifice his son, Ismāʼīl (agree- able to Muhammadans, and not Isʼhāk). P.A. بقسميه ba-ḳasm-īya, On oath, by oath.

بهنوان bhaṅwāṅ S̱. s. f. Eyebrow or eyebrows. See بهون bhauṅ.

بکل bakul S (वकुल) s. m. Name of a tree. (Same as مولسري. Mimusops elengi).

بعيد baʼīﻌd A (from بعد) adj. Far, distant, absent, remote; strange, improbable. بعيدعقل سي baʼīﻌd aﻌḳl se, Foolish, absurd, far from wise, unrea- sonable.

بنبک bimbuk S̱. (विम्बक from विम्ब see بنب) adj. Red, fiery, flame coloured.
