بتوري bataurī S̱. (from वात Wind) s. f. A flatu- lent or œdematous swelling.

بهواني भवानी bhawānī S s. f. Name of a Hindū goddess, wife of Siva or Mahādeva.

بوند būnd विंदु S̱. s. f. A drop. بوندکي بوند būnd kī būnd, Rectified, twice distilled (spirit, &c.).

بهنڐيلن bhanḍelan S̱. (from بهنڐيلا) s. f. An actress.

بلي बली bal-ī S adj. Strong, powerful.

بسم الله bismi-l-lāh A In the name of God, or بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم bismi-l-lāhi-r-rahmāni-r-raḥīm, In the name of God the most merciful. (An invocation generally used by Muhammadans at the beginning of all actions and works). بسم الله کرنا bismi-l-lāh karnā, To begin, to com- mence. بسم الله هوا bismi-l-lāh hūʼā, Said of a child who has just commenced learning to read. بهنگيرن bhang-eran S̱. s. f. A female seller of bhang.

بتکده but-kada P s. m. An idol-temple, a pagoda.

بيما bīmā H or بيمان bīmāṅ, s. m. Ensurance.

باي bāʼe S̱. or bāʼī (वायु) s. f. Wind, air; flatulency, rheumatism. باي پچني bāʼī pachnī, To be mortified, to be depressed, to die away. باي سرنا bāʼī sarnā, see باوسرنا bāʼo sarnā. باي مين بهڙکنا bāʼī meṅ bhaṛaknā, To prate foolishly.
