بهس bhus बुस S̱. s. m. Bran, husk, chaff. بهس پربرات bhus par barāt, An assignment on chaff: i. e. that from which nothing can be obtained.

بولي ٿهولي bolī-ṭholī H s. f. Jeering, speaking at but not to a person. بولي ٿهولي سنانايامارنا bolī ṭholī sunānā or bolī ṭholī mārnā, To reproach, to blame.

بهرت भरत bharat S n. prop. Name of the son of Dasaratha and Kaikeyī, and younger bro- ther of Rāmachandra. بهرت کنڐ bharat-khanḍ, s. m. One of the nine divisions of the world, be- tween Lankā and Sumeru; India.

بريارا baryārā बलीयान् S̱. 1. adj. Strong, violent. 2. s. m. A medicinal herb so called: see بلا बला.

بدوي badawī A adj. Of the country or desert; an Arab of the desert, a countryman.

بهاگلپوري bhāgalpūr-ī H s. m. A kind of cloth from Bhāgalpūr.

بتکهي bat-kahī S̱. s. f. (بت Word, and کهنا To say) Loquacity, conversableness, discourse, dialogue.

برباد bar-bād P adj. (Given) to the winds; thrown away, misapplied, lost, wasted, destroyed, laid waste, ruined. برباددينا bar-bād denā or بربادکرنا bar-bād karnā, To give to the winds, to throw away, to lose, to waste, misapply, to ruin, des- troy, &c. بربادهونا bar-bād honā, To be thrown away, misapplied, or lost.

باون bāwan वामन S̱. 1. adj. Dwarfish, di- minutive. 2. s. m. The fifth incarnation of Vish̤ṇu in the form of a dwarf. See اوتار avatār.
