بياپنا byāpnā व्यापन S̱. v. a. To pervade, oc- cupy, effect, operate, to work, to act, affect.

بندا bandā S (वंदा) s. m. Mistletoe, a kind of epidendron. (Epidendrum tesselatum). See باندا.

باطل bāt̤il A (from بطل) adj. False, vain, absurd, futile, ineffectual, ignorant, abolished. باطل السحر bāt̤ilu-s-siḥr, Annuller of enchantment, what or who frustrates incantation.

بل بکرا bal-bakrā S̱. (बलिवर्कर A goat for sacrifice) s. m. A person who dies in a battle, &c. without doing any thing.

بنگي bang-ī P s. m. One who intoxicates himself with bang.

بانوسا bānūsā H s. m. A kind of cloth.

بکهيڙيا bakheṛiyā H (from بکهيڙا) adj. Quarrelsome, captious; a wrangler, a brawler.

بندهاٴي bandhāʼī S̱. (from بندهانا) s. f. Bond, binding, fastening.

بيڙا beṛā वेटप S̱. s. m. 1. A raft, a float. 2. The raft which is floated by the Muhammadans in honour of ḵẖẉāja ḵẖiẓr. (Besides the anni- versary beṛa offered to propitiate him, hundreds of smaller ones with lamps may be seen on Thursdays of the month bhādoṅ particularly, which are offered by the Muhammadans to this saint). بيڙاباندهنا beṛa bāndhnā, v. a. To col- lect a crowd. بيڙاپارکرنايالگانا beṛā pār karnā or lagānā, To relieve from distress, to remove difficulties, to help one through a business (lit. to ferry over a raft). بيڙاپارهونا beṛā pār honā, To obtain deliverance from misfortune or distress, to succeed.

بقا baḳā A s. f. Duration, permanence, remaining, eternity, immortality.
