بٿونا biṭonā H 1. v. a. To scatter, to sprinkle. 2. s. m. A son: see بٿوا biṭawā.

بيس bais S̱. s. m. 1. (for वैश्य) The third of the four Hindū tribes or varns: see برن. 2. Name of a tribe of Rājpūts. (A prince of that tribe formerly reigned at Daunriākherā. His dominions, which extended over a great part of Oude, on the north bank of the Ganges, are still called Bais-wāṛā). 3. (for वयस्) Age.

بزرگ منش buzurg-manish P adj. Noble-minded.

بال बाल bāl S s. m. 1. Hair. 2. A boy, a child. 3. (for बाला) s. f. A girl not exceeding sixteen. بال بال bāl bāl, Hair by hair, every hair. بال باندهي کوڙي مارنا bāl bāndhī kauṛī mārnā, To shoot at without missing, to act with great care, not to mistake. بال بيکا bāl bīkā, A bent or disordered hair, is used to ex- press "the smallest harm or inconvenience;" so بال بيکانهووي bāl bīkā na howe, Let not a hair be disordered (let not the least harm be done). بال چرتر bāl-charitr, Tricks of children. بال گوپال bāl gopāl, Family.

بديهه badīha A s. m. 1. An extempore, an im- promptu, any thing done without meditation, an unexpected event. 2. An axiom.

بهات bhāt भक्त S̱. s. m. Boiled rice.

بتهارنا bithārnā S̱. (caus. of بتهرنا) v. a. To cause to scatter, to cause to sprinkle.

بهستکا bhas-tikkā H s. m. A steak, chop, collop.

بٿئي baṭaʼī S̱. (from بٿنا To twist) s. f. The art of making gold thread.
