بهيا bhayā S̱. mas. (r. भू Be) past tense or part. of the verb subs., Was, be- came, become.

بيان byān S̱. (from بيانا, q. v.) s. m, Birth, act of parturition. چاربيان گائي or چاربيان کي گائي A cow that has calved four times. ايک بيان جامک Having produced two calves at a birth.

بقا baḳā A s. f. Duration, permanence, remaining, eternity, immortality.

بيسنا baisnā S̱. v. n. (dakh.) See بيٿهنا baiṭhnā.

بحار biḥār A s. plur. (of بحر) Seas. P.A. بحال ba-ḥāl, In state or condition; adj. Un- altered, happy, flourishing, in office, reinstated, restored. بحال کرنا ba-ḥāl karnā, To reinstate, reestablish, replace, restore. P.A. بحالي ba-ḥāl-ī, s. f. Prosperity, restoration, re- instatement, being in office or favour.

بروگ birog S̱. (वि and योग Junction) s. m. Separation, absence.

بگره विग्रह bigrah S s. War, battle.

بانسلي bāṅslī S̱. s. f. 1. A flute, &c.: see بانسري bāṅsrī. 2. A purse: see بسني basnī.

بدهان विधान bidhān S or vidhān, s. m. Com- mon practice, precept, direction. See بده विधि sign 1. and 2.

بٿيا baṭyā S̱. s. 1. (from باٿ वाट) A narrow pas- sage. 2. (from वंटक) A small measure of weight.
