بهونگهرا bhoṅgharā S̱. (from भूमि Earth, and गृह House) s. m. A vault, a cavern, a cellar.

بـﮩ‍ي bihī P s. f. 1. A quince; and (in India) a guava. بـﮩ‍ي دانه bihī-dāna, s. m. Quince-seed. 2. (from به Good) Goodness, the being well or better.

بهگانا bhagānā H (trans. of بهاگنا) v. a. To cause to flee or escape, to cause to run away, to drive away. ¶ bhigānā (trans. of بهيگنا) v. a. To wet, moisten, steep.

بتاشا bat-āshā S̱. (from वात Air) s. m. A kind of sweetmeat, sugar-cakes (of a spongy texture, or filled with air, as the word implies); a bubble.

بسرام bisrām S (विश्राम from वि and r. श्रम Grow tired) s. m. Rest, ease, repose, pause, a stop, a point in writing. بسرام لينا bisrām lenā, To rest, to repose, to pass the night (particu- larly used by wandering faḳīrs).

بهد bhad H s. f. A slap, a crash. See بهداک.

بـﮩاران bahārān P s. The spring.

بن باس ban-bās S (वनवास) s. m. Living in the forest, forester.

باسکي bāsukī S (वासुकि) s. m. The chief of serpents, which is fabled to support the universe, and which was used as a string to whirl the mountain Mandar in churning the ocean for the amr̤it, &c.

بگهيلا baghelā S̱. s. m. 1. See بگهيل baghel. 2. A tigerʼs whelp, young tiger.
