بساط bisāt̤ A (from بسط) s. f. What is spread out; carpeting, bedding, a chess-board, dice-board, expanse, surface, expansion, &c. This word is, also, adopted for h. بسات bisāt, q. v. ¶ basāt̤, An extensive plain.

برادر birādar P s. m. Brother. برادرپرور birādar- parwar, Kind to friends and relations.

بنگي bangī H s. f. A humming top.

بهابهي bhābhī भ्रातृवधू S̱. s. f. A brotherʼs wife.

بالابند bālā-band P s. m. A part of dress, a kind of turband: a coat of a particular kind. S. H. بالابهولا bālā-bholā, adj. Innocent, artless as a child. s. m. An artless child. S. H. بالاپن bālā-pan, s. m. Childhood, infancy.

بهاوين bhāweṅ भावे S̱. postpos. mas. In the sentiment, perception, mind, notion or idea.

بس وباس bas-o-bās S̱. (r. वस Dwell, and वास A dwelling) s. m. Home, dwellingplace, resi- dence, country.

بياها byāhā S̱. m. (विवाहित) adj. Married.

بنا binā A s. f. Building, foundation. بناکرنا binā karnā, To build.

بهٿهيال bhaṭhiyāl H 1. adj. With the current, i. e. down the river and not with the flood tide. 2. s. m. A kind of مرثيه or elegiack verses sung in praise of Hasan and Husain.
