بنديوان bandī-wān S̱. s. m. A prisoner, &c. See s. بندي.

بيد वेद bed S or veda, s. m. A Veda, or the Ve- das in the aggregate. The original Veda is be- lieved by the Hindūs to have been revealed by Brahmā, and to have been preserved by tra- dition until it was arranged in its present order by a sage, who thence obtained the surname of Vyāsa or Vedavyāsa, that is, compiler of the Vedas. He distributed the Indian scripture into four parts, which are severally entitled ऋग् Rig, यजुष् Yajush̤, साम Sāma, and अथर्व Atharva; and each of them bears the common name of Veda.

بالم bālam वल्लभ S̱. s. m. 1. A lover or be- loved person; a husband. 2. A kind of cloth. بالم کهيرا bālam khīrā, s. m. A sort of cucum- ber in season in the rains (a variety of Cucumis sativus).

بهٿياري bhatiyārī S̱. s. f. A female bhaṭhiyārā or sutler.

بهاجنا bhājnā भर्जन S̱. v. a. To fry.

بالابر bālā-bar P s. m. Part of the انگرکها angarkhā that laps over the thighs, foreskirt.

بٿا baṭṭā H s. m. 1. Deficiency. 2. Exchange

بهٿکا bhaṭkā H adj. Astray.

بيل بوٿا bel-būṭā S̱. s. m. A shrub, bush or creeper; flowers (on cloth).

بهن भिन्न bhinn S adj. Separate, apart, distinct, other, different. بهن بهن bhinn bhinn, Various, one by one, severally.
