بهگت bhagat भक्त S̱. s. m. See بهکت bhakt. بهگت کهيلنا bhagat-khelnā, v. n. To act (a play), to imitate, to mimick. بهگت هونا bhagat-honā, v. n. To be initiated as a devotee, to be affi- liated to a religious order. (This is peculiar to the low tribes. The initiation consists in putting a necklace of beads round the neck, and marking a circle on the forehead. After which, the initiated person is bound to refrain from the use of spirituous liquors, flesh, &c.).

بهڙريا bhaṛariyā H s. m. A conjurer.

ببروتا babrūtā H s. m. A clown, a lout, lumpkin, clumsy young man.

برين barain H s. f. A (female) seller of betel- leaf, or rather cultivator of betel.

بهوپت bhūpat S̱. (भू Earth, and पति Lord) s. m. A sovereign, a prince.

بهوکمپ भूकंप भू Earth, and r. कप Trem- ble bhūkamp S. s. m. An earthquake.

بائيني bāʼinī H s. f. A basket in which snakes are carried about for show.

بهرمي bharm-ī S̱. (from भ्रम) adj. Suspicious.

بسرنا bisarnā S̱. (वि and r. स्मृ Remember) v. n. To forget, to be forgotten.

بلٿنا bilaṭnā S̱. (वि and r. लट Act childishly) v. n. To become bad.
