آمرزگار āmurz-gār P s. m. He who pardons; pardoner (an epithet of God).

استراحت istirāḥat A (inf. x. of روح Heb. He respired; rested) s. f. Repose, rest, ease, tran- quillity, sleep.

انت کال अन्तकाल ant-kāl S s. m. Dying moment, hour of death. S. انتکرن अन्तःकरण (or अन्तस्करण an- taskaraṇ, from अन्तर् Within and करण An organ) antakaraṇ, s. m. The understanding.

اقربا aḳribā A s. plur. (of قریب) Kindred, friends, allies.

انبار ambār P s. m. A heap, a stack, a stock, a magazine, a granary, a barn.

اشتہا ishtihā A (inf. viii. of شہوت) s. f. Appe- tite, desire, hunger.

ارتباط irtibāt̤ A (inf. viii. of ربط) s. m. Connexion, friendship, familiarity.

اگواني agwānī अग्रगामी S̱. s. m. A guide, harbinger. See اگوا agwā.

آکاس आकाश ākās S (or akās), s. m. The fifth element, ether; the sky, the atmosphere, the heavens, the firmament, space. (This element is held by the Hindūs to be more subtle than air, to fill and pervade the universe, and to be the peculiar vehicle of life and sound). آکاس باني ākās-bānī (आकाश The sky, and वाणी Sound) s. f. A voice from heaven; revelation, an oracle.

ايفا īfā A (inf. iv. of وفا) s. f. Performing (a promise, &c.), performance, paying, satisfying, fulfilling.
