هر हर har S n. prop. A name of Mahādeva. ¶ हरि hari, A name of Vish̤ṇu: see هري harī. هربهجن hari-bhajan, Adoration of Vish̤ṇu. هربهکت hari-bhakt, A Vaish̤ṇava, worshipper of Vish̤ṇu. هرپيڙ hari-paiṛi, s. f. A ghāṭ or landing place dedicated to Hari (lit. the steps or stairs of Hari). هرداس hari-dās, Servant of Vish̤ṇu.

هلنا hilnā H (or dakh. halnā) v. n. 1. To shake, be moved, be agitated, move. 2. To be fa- miliarized, to be tamed.

هست hast S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Elephant: see هستي hastī.

هراسان hirāsān P (part. pres. of هراسيدن) adj. Frightened, fearful, frightening. P. S̱. هراسي جانا hirāse jānā, v. n. (dakh.) To be frightened.

هرت हरित् harit S adj. Verdant. S. هرتا हत्ती (r. हृ Take by force, steal) hartā, s. m. A thief, a stealer, a taker away.

هلڙ hullaṛ H s. m. Alarm, tumult, uproar, com- motion, bustle, disturbance, riot.

هتيارا hatyārā हत्याकार S̱. 1. s. m. A mur- derer, assassin, wretch, villain. 2. adj. Inhu- man, bloody.

هوشمندي hosh-mand-ī P s. f. Intelligence, under- standing.

هونٿ honṭ S̱. or hūnṭ, s. m. (dakh.) See هونٿهہ honṭh. هونٿان چابنا hoṅṭ-āṅ chābnā (dakh.) To bite the lips; to fear, to repent. ¶ hūnṭ, See ونٿ ūnṭ.
