هيا hiyā S̱. (हृद् or हृदय) s. m. Heart, breast, mind, soul, life. S̱. هي 1. hī (हि) emphatick affix or adv. Very exactly, even, indeed, truly, only. 2. he (from हौनौं in Braj) Were.

هيولا hayūlā A (for هيوليٰ from هيل or from Gr. u(/lh) s. m. 1. Matter. 2. Appearance. 3. The first sketch of a picture.

هريلا harīlā S̱. adj. 1. Verdant, green. 2. A coward, a runaway.

هستناپر हस्तिनापुर hastinā-pur S s. m. An- cient Dihlī, the capital of Yudhish̤ṭhira and his brethren, the remains of which still exist, about 57 miles N. E. of the modern city, on the banks of the old channel of the Ganges.

هتهيلا hath-elā S̱. (from هاتهہ) s. m. A thief, robber.

هريسه harīsa P s. m. A kind of thick pottage, made of bruised wheat boiled to a consistency; to which they add meat, butter, cinnamon, and aromatick herbs.

هيأت haiʼat A (from هيٴ) s. f. 1. Astronomy, the aspect of the heavens. 2. Face, outward form, figure, countenance, aspect, manner. هيأت مجموعي haiʼat-i-majmūʼīﻌ, Collective form or mass; collectively.
