هڙدنگا huṛ-dangā H adj. Turbulent.

هزار hazār P adj. Thousand. هزارپا hazār-pā, s. m. A scolopendra, a venomous reptile. هزارچشمه hazār-chashma, s. m. A cancer (disease). هزارداستان hazār-dāstān, A kind of nightin- gale. هزارگاٴيده يا ميخي hazār-gāʼīda or -meḵẖ-ī, A common strumpet, harridan.

هنکاري hankārī अहंकारी S̱. adj. Proud, self-conceited.

هارون hārūn A. (corrupt. from حرون which from حرن) adj. Wicked, refractory, roguish.

هاروت hārūt A n. prop. The name of an angel, who, together with another named ماروت mā- rūt, severely censured mankind before the throne of God: they were, therefore, both sent down

همنان haman-āṅ S̱. pron. plur. (dakh.) See همن haman or همنا hamnā.

هٿانا haṭānā H (causal of هٿنا) v. a. To repel, drive backwards, to back, to worst, to foil.

هکارنا hakārnā H v. a. To drive oxen or other cattle in a circle as when treading out grain.
