وطر wat̤ar A s. m. A necessary thing, necessity, use.

واقفيت wāḳif-īyat A. s. f. Experience, know- ledge, intelligence, acquaintance.

واڙ वाट wāṛ S (An enclosed piece of ground, a garden, &c.) A termination in compos. denoting place or en- closure; as, ستيواڙ satī-wāṛ, The place where a ستي satī is burned; پهولواڙي phūl-wāṛī, A flower- garden.

وفاق wifāḳ A (from وفق) s. m. Concord, harmo- ny, good understanding, unanimity.

وادي wādī A (from ودي or rather Heb. To divide, spread, expand) s. f. 1. A valley, vale, any low ground. 2. The channel of a river. 3. A river. 4. A desert.

وبال wabāl A (from وبل Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. f. 1. An unhealthy climate or atmosphere. 2. A crime, fault, punishment for a crime. 3. Pest, plague, vexation, misfortune, ruin, curse. adj. Painful, vexatious.

واڙون wāzhūṅ P adj. Inverted, preposterous, contrary.

واشد wā-shud P s. f. Opening, expansion, disper- sion or vanishing (of sorrow, &c.), deliverance.
