وقوف wuḳūf A (from وقف) s. m. Understanding, information, sense, experience, wisdom. وقوفدار wuḳūf-dār, Informed of, experienced.

وتيره watīra A (from وتر or rather from Heb. To stretch, to extend) s. m. 1. A path, way. 2. Manner, habit, custom. نيک وتيره nek watīra, A good disposition.

ورق waraḳ A s. m. 1. A leaf (of a book, &c.). 2. A card, a slice. ورق اتارنا waraḳ utārnā, To page and line (a book). ورق تراشنا waraḳ ta- rāshnā, To cut cards. ورق الخيال waraḳu-l-ḵẖiyāl, s. m. Name of an intoxicating drug

وو wo H (for وه wuh) pron. That, he, those, &c.

وثيقه was̤īḳa A s. m. See وثيقت was̤īḳat.

وسي wis-e H pron. 3d pers. sing. (same as اسي use) Him, her, it, to him, to her, &c.

وهله wahla H s. m. Attack, onset.

وسطي wasat̤-ī A. adj. Middling, neither long nor short pronunciation.

واماندگي wā-mānda-gī P s. f. The remaining be- hind (especially, through weariness).
