نيندنا nīndnā H v. a. To deny.

نقير naḳīr A (from نقر Heb. and Aram. ) 1. s. m. A trough of a hollowed palm tree in which they make a strong wine of dates, &c. 2. The spot on the back of a date stone through which the young plant shoots; (hence) adj. Very small, of little moment, meanest. نقير وقطمير

نوشان noshān P part. act. (from نوشيدن) in compos. Drinking.

نيستان nai-istān P or nai-stān (comp. of ي Reed, and استان or ستان Place) s. m. 1. A sugar plantation, field of sugar-cane. 2. A place where canes or reeds grow.

نيگي جوگي neg-ī jogī H Tenants and dependants, to whom it is customary to give the neg, q. v. P. S. نيل nīl (नील) s. m. Indigo, blue. نيل يا نيل کا ماٿهہ بگڙنا nīl, or nīl kā māṭh bigaṛnā (lit.) A vat of indigo being spoiled, is used (met.) 1. To express the persecutions of fortune.

نمگيره nam-gīra P s. m. A canopy, an awning.

نگينه nagīna P s. m. See نگ nag, signif. 2.

نڐهول niḍhol S̱. (निर् prep. and दोल What swings) adj. Still, motionless.

نس nus P s. m. 1. The environs of the mouth. 2. Understanding. (Gr. nou_s).

نبي nabī A (Heb. ) s. m. A prophet.
