نساج nassāj A (adj. superl. of نسج) s. m. A weaver.

نصرت nuṣrat A s. f. Victory. See نصر naṣr. نصرت آيات naṣrat-āyāt, adj. Victorious (stan- dards).

نيد nīd S̱. s. f. Sleep. See نيند nīnd.

نوش nosh P 1. part. act. (from نوشيدن) in compos. A drinker; as, باده نوش bāda-nosh, A wine-drinker. 2. s. m. A drink, a draught (especially, of something sweet and pleasant). 3. A present. 4. A reward. 5. An antidote. نوش جان فرمانا nosh-i-jān farmānā or نوش فرمانا nosh farmānā or نوش جان کرنا nosh-i-jān karnā, To eat, to drink (applied to a king or nobleman). نوش کرنا nosh karnā, To drink, to eat, to devour, to swallow, to sup, to sip.

نيوتا nyotā S̱. (or dakh. nayūtā, see نوتا) s. m. An invitation, or the presents sent along with an invitation to the person invited, or made by a guest. See Qanoon-e-islam.

نايژه nāʼịzha P s. m. A canal, tube, the urethra.

نمد namad P s. m. Felt, or a coarse woollen cloth formed without weaving, used in coverings for horses or in garments to keep off rain. 2. Membrum virile. نمد پوش namad-posh, Clothed in felt. نمد پوشي namad- posh-ī, s. f. The being clothed in felt, &c. نمد مو namad-mū, adj. Having hair like namad.

نيچ नीच nīch S adj. Low, base, vile, mean, vulgar. نيچ اونچ nīch-ūnch (नीचोच्च) s. f. 1. Inequality. 2. The ups and downs of life.
