نوچنا noch-nā H v. a. To pinch, to grip, to scratch, to claw.

نقير naḳīr A (from نقر Heb. and Aram. ) 1. s. m. A trough of a hollowed palm tree in which they make a strong wine of dates, &c. 2. The spot on the back of a date stone through which the young plant shoots; (hence) adj. Very small, of little moment, meanest. نقير وقطمير

نرغا narg̠ẖā U s. m. 1. Surrounding. نرغا کرنا narg̠ẖā karnā, To surround. 2. (dakh.) A kind of long drum much broader in the centre than at either end. (Qanoon-e-islam).

نبڙنا nibaṛnā S̱. (निर्वहण or intrans. of نباڙنا nibāṛnā) v. n. To be accomplished, to be spent, to be ended.

نٿهڙتا niṭhuṛ-tā S̱. (निष्ठुरता) s. f. Cruelty, obduracy.

نيچا nīchā S̱. (see نيچ) adj. Below, down, low. نيچا اونچا nīchā ūnchā, Up and down, uneven ground, abrupt. نيچي سرون سي بولنا nīche su- roṅ se bolnā, To sing with a low voice, or hum a tune. (Jocosè autem crepitus ventris hâcce voce subintelligitur).

نشٿ नष्ट nash̤ṭ S adj. Lost, destroyed.

نجار najjār A (adj. superl. of نجر Chald. and Syr. ) s. m. A carpenter.

نسنگ nisang S̱. adj. See نسنک nisank.

نردوند nir-dwand S̱. (निर् and द्वन्द्व Strife, dis- pute) Without quarrel or dispute, peaceably.
