Fi- delity, loyalty, gratitude. نمک خوار namak- ḵẖẉār, A servant, dependant. نمکدان namak- dān, A saltcellar. نمکسار namaksār, Saline, a salt-pit. نمک کا کنکره حرام هونا namak kā kankra ḥarām honā (dakh. met. for فاقه رهنا) To continue in a fast or fasting, to keep a fast(?). کٿي پر نمک لگانا kaṭe par namak lagānā (lit. to put salt upon a wound) To add one grief or vexation to another.
