نہضت nuhẓat A or nahẓat (from نہض) s. f. Marching, departure, rising up. نہضت کرنا nuhẓat karnā, To march, to depart, &c.

نازنين nāznīn P adj. Delicate, lovely; (subst.) A delicate woman, a mistress, a belle.

ناگل nāgal लांगल S̱. s. m. A plough.

نياز niyāz P s. f. 1. Petition, supplication, prayer. 2. Indigence, poverty. 3. A thing dedicated, an offering. نيازطينت niyāz-t̤īnat, adj. Indi- gent, humble. نيازکرنا niyāz karnā, To dedicate, to devote, to consecrate. نيازمند niyāz-mand, adj. Indigent, necessitous, suppliant. نيازمندي niyāz-mand-ī, s. f. Necessitousness, supplica- tion.

ندان निदान nidān S 1. adv. At last, at length, lastly, after all, altogether. 2. s. f. (in me- dicine) Knowledge of the symptoms of diseases. (Diagnosis).

نہيب niheb (nahīb: Hunter P ) s. m. 1. Fear, terrour. 2. Grief, anguish, anxiety. 3. Ex- pedition, haste.

ناتهنا nāth-nā नाथन S̱. v. a. To bore a bullockʼs nose and put a string in it to guide him by.

نيلکنٿهہ नीलकंठ nīl-kanṭh S s. m. 1. Name of a bird. (Coracias bengalensis). 2. A name of Mahādeva. (He is called by this name because his throat was stained blue by swallowing the poison produced by over-churning the ocean, with the mountain Mandara, by the Surs and Asurs, to procure the amr̤ita). 3. A peacock. 4. Name of a plant. (Hyperanthera mo- runga).

نبهانا nibhānā S̱. (causal of نبهنا) v. a. To perform, to guard, &c. See نباهنا nibāhnā.
