ادهیر अधीर अ and धीर Steady a-dhīr S. adj. Hasty, precipitate, unsteady, irresolute.

اگروالا agar-wālā H s. m. A race of merchants of the Vaisya tribe from Agrohā, a place to the westward of Dihlī.

ابهي a-bhai S (अभय) adj. Fearless, without fear.

آزرده āzurda P adj. Afflicted, sad, dispirited, sorrowful, vexed, displeased, weary. آزرده خاطر āzurda-ḵẖāt̤ir or آزرده دل āzurda-dil, Vexed, troubled in mind, offended, disgusted, dejected, sad. آزرده خاطري āzurda-ḵẖāt̤ir-ī, s. f. Sadness, &c. آزرده کرنا āzurda karnā, To afflict, vex, displease, offend.

اپشپت अ and पुष्पित Blossomed apush̤pit S. adj. Without flowers (a tree or plant), not bearing flowers, not in flower. S̱. اپشٿ (अ and स्पष्ट Evident) apashṭ, adj. Hidden, secret.

اچانک achānak H adv. Suddenly, una- wares, unexpectedly.

اتفاق ittifāḳ A (inf. viii. of وفق) s. m. 1. Agree- ment, concord, concurrence, friendship, conspi- racy, collusion, similarity of disposition. 2. Chance, fortune, accident, incident, success, op- portunity. 3. Equality. 4. Probability. اتفاق حسنه ittifāḳ-i-ḥasana, or اتفاقات حسنه ittifāḳāt- i-ḥasana, s. m. Unexpected good fortune, agree- able accidents, good luck. اتفاق کرنا ittifāḳ karna, To accord or agree together, to concur, to unite, to conspire, to happen. اتفاق هونا itti- fāḳ honā, To happen, to be agreed.

ابسواسي a-biswās-ī S̱. m. (अविश्वासी) adj. Without confidence, distrustful. S̱. P. ابسي دور ab-se dūr (an expression of those who, after reciting past misfortune, pray to be preserved from a return of it) Far be it from us!

اڙانا uṛānā S̱. (caus. of اڙنا) v. a. To cause to fly; to squander or spend extravagantly, dissipate, blow up or away, disperse, filch, to entice. اڙانا پڙانا uṛānā puṛānā, To squander.

اماوس amā-was S̱. (अमावस्या or अमावास्या from अमा With, and r. वस Abide) s. f. The conjunction of the sun and moon, the change of the moon.
