نتيجه natīja A (from نجّ) s. m. Result, conse- quence, deduction, inference, conclusion, issue, what necessarily follows, retribution, reward. 2. A fœtus, offspring, birth.

نار nār H s. m. 1. A herd, drove. 2. Counsel, advice.

نربلتا निर्बलता nirbalatā S s. f. Weakness.

نداف naddāf A (adj. superl. of ندف Heb. ) s. m. A cotton-dresser.

نٿن naṭan H (from نٿنا) s. f. Denial, negation.

نصيب naṣīb A (from نصب Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. Fortune, lot, luck, chance, portion, part, fate, destiny. (In Hindūstānī this word is often constructed as a plural). نصيب لڙني na- ṣīb laṛne, 1. To be competitor for any thing. 2. (lit. fortune fighting for one) The commence- ment of prosperity, to be greatly favoured by fortune (after adversity). نصيب جگنا naṣīb jagnā, To be fortunate.

نقدي naḳd-ī A. adj. Relating to cash, (paid, &c.) in cash, possessing ready money, moneyed. ¶ نقدي کا جوڙا naḳde kā joṛā (dakh.) An or- nament of bangles for the wrist.

نازک nāzuk P adj. 1. Thin, light, subtile, delicate,

نہي nahī A s. f. Prohibition, an interdict.

نيوتا nyotā S̱. (or dakh. nayūtā, see نوتا) s. m. An invitation, or the presents sent along with an invitation to the person invited, or made by a guest. See Qanoon-e-islam.
