موکا mūkā मुष्टि S̱. s. m. 1. The fist. 2. A thump, blow. 3. (from मुख) A spy-hole.

مهاڙي mhāṛī H s. f. (dakh.) House, stately dwel- ling, palace, edifice, &c.: see محل maḥall.

مانگ māng H s. f. 1. A line on the top of the head where the hair is parted. 2. A betrothed damsel. 3. Prow. 4. Division. مانگ māng or مانگ پـٿي māng-paṭṭī(dakh.) A golden orna- ment worn over the line on the top of the head where the hair is parted, reaching to the back part of the head: Qanoon-e-islam, App. p. xviii. مانگ نکالنا māng nikālnā, To divide the hair in a straight line on the top of the head.

مچهري machhrī S̱. (मत्सी) s. f. (dakh. s. m.) A fish.

مـﮩاکوڙه mahā-koṛh S̱. s. m. A species of leprosy (great leprosy) perhaps elephantiasis.

مظلمه maz̤lama A (from ظلم) s. m. Injustice, op- pression, tyranny.

معاف muʼāﻌf A (part. act. III. of عفو prop. معافي) adj. Absolved, exempted, dispensed with, for- given, pardoned, excused. معاف کرنا muʼāﻌf karnā, To pardon, forgive, excuse, remit, absolve.

مت mat S or mati (for मति) s. f. 1. Manner, method, way, mode, system. 2. Wisdom, un- derstanding, intellect, opinion. مت هين mati- hīn, Void of understanding. 3. (Sans. मा Do not) neg. particle, Not, do not.

ميل mail मल S̱. s. f. Dirt, filth, rust, scum. ميل بيٿهنا mail baiṭhnā, To gather a crust. ميل چهانٿنا mail chhānṭnā, To fine, strain, purify, clarify. ميل خوره mail-ḵẖora, 1. An under vest- ment (as, under petticoat, &c.), an apron (dakh. Harris). 2. A saddle-cloth. ميل کاٿنا mail kāṭnā, To refine, to purify.

مقوله maḳūla A (part. pass. fem. of قول) adj. Said, repeated over and over again. s. m. A maxim, saying, adage, proverb, aphorism.
