موج mauj A s. f. 1. A wave, surge. 2. Whim, caprice. موج آجاني mauj ā-jānī, An imagina- tion to come into the mind. موج خيز mauj- ḵẖez, adj. Stormy, producing waves. موج رکهنا mauj rakhnā, To be proud. موج زن mauj-zan, Waving, wavy, boisterous, billowy, tumultuous, agitated, raging (sea). موج زني mauj-zan-ī, s. f. Waving, billowing. موج مارنا mauj mārnā, v. a. To billow, to wave; (met.) is applied to express self enjoyment without restraint. Mu- hammad Baḳā says: سيل سرشک اپنا جب سرباوج ماري طوفان نوح بيٿها گوشي مين موج ماري Sail-i-sarashk apnā jab sar ba-auj māre, t̤ūfān-i-Nūḥ baiṭhā goshe meṅ mauj māre. When the deluge of my tears rises to its height, that of Noah may amuse itself in a corner. موج نسيم mauj-i-nasīm, A cooling squall.

مونڙنا mūṅṛnā मुंडन S̱. v. a. To shave.

ملايکه malāʼịka A s. plur. (of ملک malak, Heb. ) Angels.

ماهيت māhiyat A (comp. of ما What? and هي That; q. d. What is that?) s. f. Essence, qua- lity, state, condition, circumstances, value, in- trinsick worth.

مايوسي māyūs-ī A. s. f. Despair.

ماخذ māḵẖaẕ A (noun of place from اخذ) s. m. The place of receipt, the source or what any thing is taken from.

مٿاپا muṭāpā H (from موٿا) s. m. Fatness, plumpness, bigness, bulkiness.

مرجهن murjhan मूर्च्छन S̱. s. (dakh.) Fainting, drooping.

موٿاپا moṭā-pā H s. m. Fatness, corpulency, thickness, coarseness, bigness, bulk, bulkiness, grossness.

مولود maulūd A (part. pass. of ولد) 1. adj. Born, generated; a son. 2. s. m. Poetry chanted before the bier of a deceased person when carried out, burial-service. A. H. مولودي maulūd-ī, A person who chants before the bier of a corpse.
