ملامت malāmat A (from لوم) s. f. Reproach, blame, rebuke. ملامت کرنا malāmat karnā, To reproach, to blame, to censure, to rebuke.

موکهـ mokh S̱. (from मुख) s. m. An airhole, spy-hole, or hole in a wall for light, &c. S̱. موکها 1. mūkhā (मट्टक) s. m. The ridge of a thatch, the topping or coping of a wall. 2. mokhā (मुख) s. m. A small hole in a wall for admitting light and air, an airhole, an aperture.

محنت miḥnat A s. f. (dakh. s. m.) Labour, toil, industry, exercise, trouble, misfortune, difficulty, calamity, affliction, trial, temptation, perplexity, sorrow. محنت آباد miḥnat-ābād, Full of mise- ry. محنت زده miḥnat-zada, or محنت کش miḥnat-kash, adj. Enduring labour or trouble, afflicted. محنت کرنا miḥnat karnā, To labour, to toil. محنت کشي miḥnat-kash-ī, s. f. En- durance of labour or trouble, affliction. محنت کوپينا miḥnat ko pīnā (dakh. i. q. متحمل هونا) To endure, be patient (?). A. P. محنتانه miḥnat-āna, s. m. Hire, wages.

ميٿهاي mīṭhā-ī S̱. s. f. (dakh.) Sweetness: see مٿهاس miṭhās, and مٿهاي miṭhā-ī.

معتاد muﻌtād A (part. pass. VIII. of عود) 1. adj. Accustomed, customary. 2. s. f. Custom, habit, use.

معاوضت muʼāﻌwaẓat A s. f. (inf. III. of عوض) Retaliating, returning like for like, substitution, exchange.

مجراٴي mujrā-ī A. s. m. One who pays his re- spects; a servant, minister, visitant, &c.
