اچائي uchāṭ-ī S̱. s. f. (उत् and r. चट Break, pierce, in-

اڙاڙا aṛāṛā H s. m. High steep banks of a river or tank.

اودهم ūdham H s. m. Noise, impudence, rebel- lion, disturbance.

انجان an-jān S̱. (ان priv. and ज्ञान Knowledge) 1. adj. Unwitting, unintentional, not knowing, ignorant. 2. s. m. A stranger.

اپجت upajit S̱. adj. Produced, propagated.

اعزاز iﻌzāz A (inf. iv. of عزت) s. m. Honouring, magnifying, respect, attention, honour, esteem.

اٿهانا uṭhānā S̱. (caus. of اٿهنا) v. a. To lift, take or raise up, to elevate, to hoist, to take or bear away, to produce, invent, cause, gain, get, enjoy, to abolish, excite, rouse, support, bear, carry, to remove, to receive, to suffer, to exhibit, to contract debts or purchase on credit, to expend. اٿها دینا uṭhā denā, To remove away, abolish, abrogate, exterminate.

اگاڙي agāṛī S̱. (from अग्र The forepart, &c.) adv. Before, in front, forwards, further on, onward. s. f. The ropes with which a horseʼs fore feet are tied, the front, forepart. اگاڙي مارنا agāṛī mārnā, To attack in front, to defeat a hostile army in pitched battle. اگاڙي پچهاڙي لگانا agāṛī pichhāṛī lagānā, To confine (especially, a horse).
