اور aur H conj. And, also. adj. More, other, else. اورايک aur ek, Another, separate, dis- tinct, else. اورکيا aur kyā, What else? certainly. اورنهين تو aur nahīṅ to, And if not then, and otherwise. اورهي aur hī, Quite different, extraordinary.

انقسام inḳisām A (inf. vii. of قسم) s. m. The being divided; division, partition, distribution.

اچهوتا achhūtā S̱. (see اجوٿها) adj. Intangible (vic- tuals dressed for saints, &c.), inviolable.

اچپلاهٿ āchpalā-haṭ S̱. s. f. Restlessness, play- fulness, vivacity, in- constancy, wantonness.

اجین ujjain उज्जयनी S̱. s. m. Name of a city, formerly the capital of Vikramāditya.

اٿر as̤ar A s. m. A mark, sign, trace, impression, effect. اٿر کرنا as̤ar karnā, To operate, affect.

آن ān P s. f. A graceful attitude, an affected gait; affectation, pride, dignity, proper spirit.

اگاڙي agāṛī S̱. (from अग्र The forepart, &c.) adv. Before, in front, forwards, further on, onward. s. f. The ropes with which a horseʼs fore feet are tied, the front, forepart. اگاڙي مارنا agāṛī mārnā, To attack in front, to defeat a hostile army in pitched battle. اگاڙي پچهاڙي لگانا agāṛī pichhāṛī lagānā, To confine (especially, a horse).

اسوگنده aswa-gandh अश्वगन्धा S̱. s. m. Same as اسگنده asgandh, q. v.

اختصاص iḵẖtiṣāṣ A (inf. viii. of خصّ) s. m. Ap- propriation, peculiarity.
